Sofia and Mia with their friend Scarlett

Here are our grandnieces Sofia (age 3 1/2) and Mia (age 1 1/2) along with their friend, Scarlett -- all apparently ready for some fun in the kitchen. Sofia is in the center of the picture, and Mia is in the red apron. How to explain Mia's uncontrolled glee? Apparently, this occasion marks the first time Mia put on an apron entirely by herself.

    How cute! ^_^

What does it feel like to be a grandpa Mr Michael? :)
Well, I'm not actually scheduled to become a grandfather until September. But, you want to know what that's going to be like? Here's a story for you about Sofia. She was here at Christmas; her cousin and I were going to go outside to throw the football. Sofia wanted to come with us, but her mother had told her she can't go outside except with an adult. So, when her cousin and I head for the door, Sofia goes up to her mom and asks, "Is Michael an adult?" And now you know the truth. I'm just "Michael" to all the kids; they apparently think of me as an older friend, a friend who is no more than 1 or 2 years senior to each of them. What will the grandchild call me? That's easy: Michael.

    :D

I mistakenly read your "granddaughters". Now I re-read and saw it says "grandnieces". :)
    As adorable as possible! :)
Haha, it looks as though Sofia is about to be swallowed up by the huge hat any minute.
Michael, this picture cheers me right up every time I look at it! :-D
