Yeah, I'll second that. Good luck with the writing and stuff and hope the year brings even greater life than the one just gone by. Give Rob my best wishes. Here's a morning inspiration...

Thanks, Soleo. Love a bit of the Emperor. :yup:

Hmmm...scanners have detected two other lifeforms that entered this thread before I did.

Scanner says the lifeforms are known as Scotty and Davidm.

Scanner also says the two lifeforms are barely sentient and certainly non-intelligent.

Guess they wondered in here by mistake.

Obviously your scanner couldn't categorize yours truly for I wandered in here before you as well. Time for an upgrade, and hope your second year on TGL will be just as campy.

Seems like he's been a burden on us a pleasure to us for more than one year.
Love, by its very nature, is unworldly, and it is for this reason rather than its rarity that it is not only apolitical but anti-political, perhaps the most powerful of all anti-political human forces. -Hannah Arendt

For some reason, whenever I hear the start of the Emperor, I expect it to switch to Song to the Moon from Rusalka by Dvorak.

Dave complained in chat that no one wrote him a poem or got drunk to celebrate his first anniversary here, so I have written a short poem. Campanella can get drunk. :glug:

A year ago, we welcomed DaveT
A n00bie of our own.
Nervously and foolishly,
We took him to our forum.
We figured out the dissing.
This goes how? and where?
We were told there would be crying,
And how to show we care.
A year has gone so quickly,
Yet we have learned so much.
We've felt Dave so strongly,
In a n00bie’s caustic touch.
His laughs and smiles. His pouts and tears.
Wow! He can be so bad!
But we wouldn't trade a minute,
Cuz it makes The Blighter mad.

Yes, Dave has made some worthwhile contributions to this fine community and it does not bear to think how much poorer the site would be without him.

You're all welcome!

ETA: (For those who don't get my point) Since I introduced him to this place!
