Seems like much of my personal soundtrack for the latter part of 2008 is thanks to Michael Gira and Young God Records, especially Angels of Light, Fire on Fire and Akron/Family. Compelling stuff, managing to be raw and honest without being simplistic, have power without bombast, be stimulating without gimmickry, and evoke nostalgia without being kitsch.
I can't remember exactly how I first came across TGL. Hugo was kind enough to send me a PM on falsificationism on IIDB a while back, maybe that was it. But a few mentions on Freethought Forum over the years kept it in my mind. The final impetus to join was being encouraged to do so in FF chat.
Hi everyone! I registered a few weeks back, then neglected to return to actually post anything until now. My interests are fairly broad, but my top ones at the moment are ecology (which I'm studying) and playing music.
